Long Jack – The best booster for Testosterone

What is Long Jack?

Long jack is commonly called as Tongkat Ali or Pasak Bumi originated from the flowering family “Simaroubaceae” and the native of the long jack is Malaysia and Indonesia. It is a medium sized slender shrub that has been used as a supplement, food and drinks additives. Long Jack has been used to treat malaria and aphrodisiac (inducing sexual drive) as a tonic in the ancient times in South East Asia. But the same is being sold in Malaysia in the roadside stalls, and supermarkets. Now this shrub is available in pill forms or “tea-bag” form which is mixed with regular coffee and tea.

The function of Long jack

It’s claimed that Long jack stimulates testicular CYP17-enzymes (an enzyme that converts cholesterol into pregnenolone and this pregnenolone more easily converts into androgens) to boost the testosterone level.

Long Jack improves testosterone level in men without exogenous testosterone replacement therapy. It induces the production of testosterone naturally. SHBG (sex hormone binding globulin) is a protein that binds to a large portion of testosterone.  SHBG bound testosterone is considered to be ineffective and only the free testosterone exerts the effects of the hormone. Active ingredients of long jack capture and bind SHBG and prevent it from capturing the free circulating testosterone.

There is no more doubt that Long jack with sufficient doses increases testosterone level which benefits to

  • Increased sex drive
  • Harder, spontaneous and longer erection
  • Improving muscle mass and strength
  • Boosting energy and vitality
  • Increasing bone mineral density
  • Improving cognitive functions
  • Leads to fertility in men
  • Treats and alleviates the symptoms of diabetes II, liver, heart and kidney diseases
  • Decreases LDL and triglycerides

300 mg of Long jack or Tongkat Ali was tested with 109 males. Within the human study of 12 weeks, 44% group of men had higher sperm motility, 18% had increased semen volume and they had increased erectile with libido.

In a human study of 64 “moderately stressed” were taken for a trial. Out of which 32 were male and the rest were female. They were administered with 200 mg of Long jack extract which resulted in a 37% increase in testosterone and -16% decline in cortisol (a hormone which is released in response to stress and low blood glucose concentration) after four weeks of trial time.

In IVF (In vitro fertilization), a treatment for infertile female, Tongkat Ali blocked estrogen effectively in Petri dish than Tamoxifen (a renowned synthetic estrogen blocker).
